Yiannis Kastritsis born and raised in Daphne of Eyritania in 1960. He studied painting at the Fine Arts School of Thessaloniki from 1985 to 1990 in Vangelis Dimitreas laboratory. He graduated in 1990. He continued his studies at the postgraduate section of Brooklyn College in New York between 1990 and 1993. Since 1997 teaches painting at the TEI Athens, Graphic Design department and since 2007 at the Fine Arts School of Florina as head of the B’ Laboratory of painting. He has had ten solo exhibitions and his writings have been published by Futura editions.
