Landscapes of memory and experience, stories and narratives, trails and paths in the natural world, dominate and impose on the works of the exhibition Land in Memory I, by the visual artists Xafopoulou Alexia and Chris Kechagioglou. The works of Alexia Xafopoulou, sensitive and confessional, experiential and intimate address and communicate with the viewer, attracting the gaze and broadening its experience, activating mental and emotional functions, inviting him to explore meanings, lurking on the painting surface. Images originating from her personal path offering a journey through landscapes, familiar and unfamiliar, real and imaginary, with a unique perception of rhythm in multidisciplinary projects involving the imaginative use of different materials, tools and procedures.
The paintings of Christos Kechagioglou focus on those elements of the landscape that direct poetic approach, the expressiveness, communicate and maintain pure primitive feeling, emotion and truth. The elegant linear design, intense stylization, the plasticity of the volumes and the intense color rendering lead to remarkable aesthetic achievements. The viewer is in front of a lyrical, poetic and romantic universe of images, a world of undisturbed tranquility, whose limits are the limits of the composition.
