The focus of the compositions of the works in the exhibition is the man who dreams. In the new conditions of life, the weight in the paintings that are presented, is given to the human relationship with the dream and the ecstatic dimension of this experience.
Dreams co-exist, as an activity of the spirit. In the ancient world, in Homer’s Iliad, it was believed that dreams emerge from the unconscious. Because it was something inexplicable, they acquired a special meaning.
Art with the diversity of artistic language always proposes the right to dream. It enables the viewer, without being limited, to imagine something different in his daily life.
The forms of the works of the exhibition, move away from the real space and time and reveal aspects of the material and spiritual dimension of the dream image. The faces depicted in the compositions of Stavros Panagiotakis, calmly emerge through the color texture of the works and try to transport the viewer to a dreamy and imaginary world. The images are transformed into symbols with a special substance and ability to create original energies in the senses.
